Care Baby: The Importance Of Touch For Babies

Care Baby

The Importance of Touch for Babies and care baby was written for parents who are breastfeeding and are looking for ways to encourage their babies to use the “feeling” that goes along with breastfeeding. Many new mothers find themselves wondering what they can do to make the experience of feeding their babies more pleasurable. Often the feeling that a mother has when she first breastfeeds her baby is one of exhaustion of the body. It is not uncommon for a mother to feel like she is trying to lift a mountain.

Care Baby: Moms Know About Nursing

Moms know that nursing is not something that a mother does for fun. It is not an “experience” that they look forward to. The most important thing that mothers can do for their babies is to be in a position to breastfeed for a minimum of four hours a day. Moms can achieve this by doing as much as they can while their babies are awake and mobile. However, it doesn’t always work out that way. In some cases it is very difficult to find the time to nurse their babies at all. Unfortunately, they may also need to deal with the stress of many days of being on the road.

Care Baby: Time For Feeding

Some mothers are able to accomplish the feeding and comforting that their babies deserve. Yet, for those mothers who are unable to meet the demanding standards of their babies, there is an alternative. There is the possibility of making the difference by using the “feeling” that is felt while feeding a baby. I will talk about the importance of touch for babies in the next few paragraphs.

Care Baby: Sensitive Babies

Since babies are pre-verbal and extremely sensitive to touch, it is likely that most babies do not understand that they are receiving what they are being fed. However, babies that are delivered through Cesarean section and/or who are taken away from their mother in the hospital at a very early age often get the chance to spend some time feeding themselves. In these cases, the nipple is put in front of the baby’s face. This makes it much easier for the mother to feed her baby. It also makes it possible for the baby to recognize the “feeling” of being fed.

Sense Of Attachement

When babies receive a lot of the physical “stuff” in life wrapped up in the term “feeding”, they often develop a strong sense of attachment to the bottle. Even though this attachment is not easily broken, it is a good idea to continue this “feeling” during breastfeeding. Babies that are offered a wide variety of teats in order to stimulate the “feeling” often do just fine.

What Do Babies Love?

What I’m trying to say is that babies really do love receiving things. It is these things that make them different from adults. The “feeling” that a mother feels while feeding her baby is the same “feeling” that she experiences when they are fed with love.

The Process Of Feeding

As babies grow, the process of being fed changes. New feeding techniques emerge, which includes the use of a bottle. Mothers begin to develop a bond with their babies through the nursing process. It is not uncommon for a mom to keep the nursing bottle in her purse until the baby becomes so proficient at feeding that he is accustomed to sucking on the bottle.

Easy To Hold Bottles

Babies that are bottle-fed are often given warm, easy to hold bottles. At this point, the mother’s most effective tool for feeding the baby will be the warm bottle. If a newborn baby can suck on a cold bottle, he can also suck on a warm bottle. Babies also love being held. Although a newborn baby can not understand that a bottle is a “bottle”, he can learn this “feeling” when a baby moves his hands around the bottle. To increase the level of stimulation of this feeling, a bottle may be held upside down and used as a pacifier.

Summing Up

Babies do not need to be encouraged to be active or to eat. They are already this way. Many mothers think that the “feeling” that they feel when feeding their babies will guide their babies to eat, but this is not the case.
